Estate agent in S'Agaró
S'Agaró: the most expensive address on the Costa Brava, bought and sold with the numbers in front of you.
S'Agaró is a garden estate of white villas, pines and a coastal path, laid out in the 1920s on the headland between Sant Pol beach and Sa Conca. It is small, protected and very rarely for sale, which is exactly why you need someone who knows what has actually changed hands and at what price. Emerald Properties is based here.
The place
The original estate, S'Agaró Vell, was developed from 1924 by Josep Ensesa with the architect Rafael Masó: villas in the Noucentista style, the Hostal de la Gavina, and the Camí de Ronda that runs from Sant Pol to Sa Conca. The ensemble is protected, so external works on the older houses need heritage approval, and that shapes both what you can build and what you should pay.
Beyond the old estate, the villas of Sa Conca and the slopes towards Platja d'Aro are larger, more modern plots with sea views, and there are a few apartment communities behind Sant Pol beach that give access to the same coast at a fraction of the villa prices. S'Agaró belongs to the municipality of Castell-Platja d'Aro; Sant Feliu de Guíxols, with its port and services, is a ten-minute walk along the beach.
The other towns we cover
- Platja d'AroTwo kilometres of beach, the Passeig Marítim, year-round shops and restaurants. First-line apartments and the hillside villas of Mas Nou and Politur.
- Castell d'AroThe medieval village and the Ridaura valley three kilometres inland. Houses with land, a quieter pace, and the golf at Mas Nou.
- Sant Feliu de GuíxolsA working town with a monastery, a port and an old quarter. Better value per square metre, and a life that does not close in October.
The market, in numbers
What S'Agaró costs
The S'Agaró first line was already at around 10,000 € per square metre in 2021, level with Cadaqués as the dearest address in Catalonia. Municipal averages for Castell-Platja d'Aro are shown for context; individual villa sales here are few and each one needs its own comparables.

Services
How Emerald works in S'Agaró
Buying a villa
Most S'Agaró sales never reach a portal. We approach owners directly, check heritage and planning status before you fall for a house, and build the offer on the handful of real comparables that exist.
Selling discreetly
Qualified buyers only, no open days, and a valuation you can defend. Marketing to the families who actually buy here: Barcelona, French, Swiss, German, Dutch, British, Ukrainian and Russian-speaking.
Renovation and planning
For older estate houses we brief an architect on what the heritage rules allow before you commit, so the all-in cost is known at offer stage rather than after.
Management
Villas with pools and gardens need looking after when you are away. Monthly inspections, trusted trades and a photo report, plus guest handling where a licence exists.
